EHS HAS THE SEAL!!!

Mr. Ball has this to say "...it is my pleasure to inform you that Etowah has been approved to award the International Skills Diploma Seal to qualifying seniors beginning with the 2015-16 school year. The Georgia Department of Education-Global Skills Committee was very impressed with our application!  Etowah is one of only two high schools in the district to earn this honor based on the diverse, sustained, and rigorous programs we offer."

East Coweta High School World Languages Poetry Competition will be held on Saturday, November 14th, 2015.  Please find below the poetry selections for each category, registration information and Google Forms for both school and individual participant registration. The registration deadline is Thursday, October 15th.

Due to the fact that many schools participate in the Clemson Declamation Contest, we have once again included one of their secondary selections as our mandatory poem in hopes of encouraging participation in both events! We hope to see you and your students in November.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to
contact us.

Sincerely,

Cecilia de Aza-Post (cecilia.deazapost@cowetaschools.net)

Tamara Linares, Spanish teacher has been working on her Ed.S. degree from
Piedmont College. During one of her summer classes, she has been personally
charged to start a World Language Newsletter for Etowah High School. Why
you ask? What better way to stay connected with the community and let the stakeholders know about the fantastic things that are
going on in our World Language Department at EHS?
